Oregon Department of Transportation brought this Ram 5500 Cab and Chassis to Pacific Truck Colors for a Pendleton build designed to keep crews equipped, visible, and ready for the job. This service body was built to ODOT spec for daily field use and dependable performance.
The upfit centered on a Knapheide KC132H2094J service body with the kind of storage and access a transportation crew needs on the road.
We installed a 7-drawer toolbox, 3-bow ladder rack, step bumper, rear access ladder, electric locks, hitch with 7-pin flat trailer plug, wheel chocks, rubber steps, rear grab handles, and LED lighting throughout. For added function and safety, the truck also received a 16″ deep rear bumper, deck grip on the rear bumper top and roof, a TAM83 mounted above the rear doors, and an R2LPPA mini light bar mounted on top of the cab, plus (2) LED ION Series warning lights at the rear. The LED light kit and organized storage help ODOT keep tools secure, improve visibility, and make the truck easier to work from in the field.
The body was finished with painted interior and exterior in Dodge White, along with door logos and graphics for a clean, professional look that matches the fleet.
