Terra Electric Construction Inc brought in this Chevy 3500 HD for a purpose-built service body upfit designed to keep tools, parts, and ladder access organized on the job. The truck was built around a Knapheide 696J service body on a 56″ CA SRW, with the setup focused on durability and efficient storage for electrical work.
The build included a transverse compartment curbside with two pull-out drawers and a canopy roof, giving the crew secure storage and fast access to commonly used gear. We also installed a 78″ treadplate bumper, an LED flush mount light kit with plug-in style harness, and a full-length shelf inside the canopy streetside to help keep the truck organized and job-ready.
To support daily field use, the truck was fitted with (2) galvanized bar ladder racks and (4) galvanized side ladder holders mounted on both sides of the canopy. The unit was then painted single-stage white to match the cab and finished with door graphics and logos for a clean, professional look on site and on the road.
