Canby Utility brought us a 2017 Ford F-550 for a full-spec utility build designed to handle demanding field work. This truck was outfitted to support crew safety, tool organization, towing, and heavy lifting without wasting space.
We installed a Stellar TMAX1-11 steel line body with aluminum doors, raised sides, a torsion box understructure, and an isolated crane compartment for strength and jobsite durability. The body also received standard shelving, heavy-duty steel drawer sets, LED compartment lights, a spray-on bedliner, a vise mount, slide-out workbench steps, and a hose reel in the rear compartment to keep utility gear accessible and secure.
For lifting and recovery, the truck was equipped with a Stellar 7621 telescopic crane and a Warn 16.5TI-S winch, giving the crew the muscle needed for utility service work in the field. The crane package included a proportional radio remote, load-sensing speed control, stabilizers, and a hydraulic system with PTO, tandem-section pump, and a 35-gallon reservoir to keep the setup efficient and dependable.
To support the crew on the road and at the jobsite, we added a XANTREX XPower 3000 inverter, auxiliary battery, cab guard, LED traffic advisor, cab-matched lighting, tow package components, and a full safety package. This kind of build gives utility teams the storage, power, and visibility they need to work safely and stay productive all day.
